Welsh Wildlife Centre Cardigan to Cilgerran Castle
Circular Walk approx. 4.5 miles
PRE-BOOKING ESSENTIAL

Meet at 10.15am for a 10.30am start at Wildlife Centre top Car park.
There is a parking charge of £4 per day, card payment only.
 
We take the Forest Walk from the carpark along narrow tracks onto wider tracks and lanes. On reaching Cilgerran we take a small road to Cilgerran Castle where we will drop down to the picnic spot and toilets by the River Teifi where we can have lunch.
 
The return journey will take us through an open field and into the woodland following the river below us for a time then rejoining the forest track back to the car park.
The walk is mostly easy to moderate but with a couple of more difficult sections. Due to the nature of the tracks care is needed because of loose debris and slippery rock.
 
Please bring waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear and a packed lunch. There is a small shop in Cilgerran (Siop Y Pentre) where supplies may be purchased. There is also a café at the Wildlife Centre where refreshments can be purchased on our return.
 
There is no charge for the walk. Sorry no dogs.
